How Sound Therapy Works
Believe it or not, sound therapy has been practiced across indigenous cultures worldwide for thousands of years. Each culture held similar, yet different beliefs about the power of sound.
Some believed certain sounds, mantras, singing bowls, and drums balanced the body’s energy centers, others believed it promoted good mental health and well-being, and all recognized it’s ability to restore balance and health.
What’s incredible about this is that science backs it up!
Research shows that rhythmic sounds activate the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for rest, digest, and repair.
Additionally, our body innately attunes to the highest, most stable frequency - known as entrainment.
These processes, activated by crystal singing bowls, Tibetan sound bowls, gongs, humming, and drumming - all used in Drummer Girl Sound Baths, Sound Therapy, & Drum Baths - gently attune your body. Think of it as a reset, an opportunity to be present within your body, to be here - in the moment, to finally give back to yourself.
But - That’s not all.
Consider this… The human body is made up of 70% water. When a sound bowl, drum, or gong is played over water, it creates ripples. Imagine the soft vibration and frequencies bathing your cells, stimulating regeneration.
